HONORARY CHAIRS :: Jon Carloftis and Dale Fisher

The Blue Grass Trust is pleased to announce that Jon Carloftis and Dale Fisher will be the Honorary Chairs for the 13th Annual Blue Grass Trust Antiques and Garden Show.
Jon Carloftis grew up on the banks of the Rockcastle River in South Central Kentucky, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It was there he began a love affair with nature that has culminated in his being recognized as one of the nation's premier garden designers. Jon regularly contributes to major garden and lifestyle publications. His garden designs have been featured in Architectural Digest, Country
Home, Country Living, House Beautiful, Oprah at Home, Southern Living and Town & Country. He has made television appearances on The Style Channel; The Home and Garden (HGTV) Channel, in which two of four designs in a show called The Secret Gardens of New York were Jon's; and ABC's Good Morning, America, where two of his
gardens were featured. He is the author of First a Garden and Beyond the Windowsill.
Dale Fisher grew up in Avon, a small suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. Promotion opportunities accepted by his father would uproot his family of six first to Northville, Michigan during his high school years, and later to Louisville, Kentucky. Dale and his twin brother, David, became the first twins nominated to the United States Naval Academy. Dale finished his college studies at Bellarmine University in Louisville with a BS in Actuarial Science, and later graduated from the University of Louisville with a Masters in Business Administration. Dale began his healthcare career of 25 plus years with Humana at their corporate office in Louisville. Following ten years of service with Humana, Dale moved to Lexington, Kentucky where he served as Chief Financial Officer of two other Health Maintenance Organizations, Bluegrass Family Health and later Commonwealth Health Alliance. Dale now consults in a variety of businesses. After a several year assignment in Ontario, Canada working for Bruce Power Nuclear, Dale is happy to be stationed back in Lexington were he is currently partnering with Jon Carloftis on a variety of business endeavors. Dale is an avid gardener himself. His home and garden have been featured in dozens of the national garden publications and will be featured in Jon Carloftis’ upcoming book entitled The Beautiful Gardens of Kentucky, due out spring of 2010.
